by the light of a sliver moon

tonight i went for eats with Pat and Bob. their daughter kelly showed up a bit later and joined up. what normally is an hour event turned into three hours. what fun!!
as we all know if you want to know the sins of a parent hangout with the children if you want to know the sins of the child, hangout with the parents.

as I was explaining to Pat & Bob, when DH &I went through the house, the things that failed the home inspection were not things we were looking for nor where we able to call out on an initial inspection. so if you are looking to purchase a new place pay for the extra inspection. it really it worth the cost.

i enjoy my time with Pat & Bob because they are easy people to relate to and they have the same wave length that I ride on. Plus, I can see it being extremely bad for me when my parent meet them. all of my secrets will come out and my bad past revealed.

My kids are acting weird, by that I mean more weird than normal for dogs. They want out, they want in, they want out, bark-bark-bark nothing in the yard, no deer- you can hear them crashing through the bramble-they want in, they want out. Not a full moon so what is going on?? I can not smell skunk, porcupine or raccoon and they all have a unique musk scent to them that if you know what they smell like you KNOW they are near.

I am thinking I will go down to meals on wheels for thanksgiving to help prepare and maybe deliver for those that are house bound. Since I do not have family here and DH is off hunting what a better way to spend the day???....

inspection

well, due to what was found during the home inspection we are walking away from the house.
Pam and I went to look at two more today one was a foreclosure and in case anyone is missing a friend, roommate, cat, dog by the name of Tom-Tom was in the house because he had written his name on several surfaces. LOVE FORECLOSURES!!!!!!!!!

House #2-WOW!!! 2 Fireplaces move in ready a space large enough for my pilates reformer and steve brewery and space for all of my fabric/fiber goodies. Best of all, if I do not want to see him, I can go to a different floor.

Yes, yes, I know Steve is a keeper for he puts up with me but having him within 5 feet of me for the last 5 years had made me really, really, really love fall hunting and wish he would go more often. A girl needs her space and privacy once in a while. Still have not figured out why he needs to come into the bathroom when I have the door closed...Is this a guy thing or just my guy thing???
Cause if it is just my guy thing, I am going to have to make sure the next place we purchase the lock on the door works.

Going to look at a place in Scandia on Saturday. Pam is excited about this house because it is close to where she lives. She is all ready making plans for going cross country ski-ing this winter. I do not even own skis and have not since I was a kid. It could be fun to watch Steve ski, it would be like watching him Roller Blade. I might have to purchase some Depends for the when this happens...nothing worse then spending time in wet panties cause you have been laughing too much.....

I do not think I am going to unpack anything that I have packed all ready, it would be surrender and I have not yet.

more home stuff

The regular inspection is set for Tuesday at 1pm. He said it would take about 2hours. I will have to bring some knitting with me because that is a long time to just watch someone poke and prod a house. After that inspection the VA inspection happens, I wish they could do both at the same time to save me some time. Not that I am running out of time, I am in the mode for new house, new focus, new energy.

I have not spent too much time on the house itself but more on what I want for my gardens and landscaping. 5 years is too long not to play in and with the earth. I need to talk with Vlad and Petranella about one of their side jobs.

I packed another box today with kitchen stuff. It will be fun to play with my pasta machine now that I will have a counter to mount it to. I am going to free cycle my toaster oven we have moved it several times and I can not remember the last time we used it.

I need to go down to the spider factory and repack all of my craft stuff I had unpacked, bought new of and make a serious effort to contain the mess. I was thinking of having dressers and highboys for my fabric but I just might go with having shelves instead to keep a uniform look and feel to the room because once I let chaos in it will take over.

So, there is a theme to this post of all of the things that I need to do but I am reading a tone of uncertainty. Part me would like for Steve to be helping with the packing but then I know I would get irritated with him for asking,"how do you want this packed", "what box do you want this in".

I wonder what I will find when we unpack the storage unit. sigh...

update on house

Septic has received an all clear, so now we are scheduling our house inspection.

On call this weekend so no out of town travling or no further than two hours for me.

Not sure what I am going to do with myself this weekend since I have nothing that is pressing for me to do nor nothing that I feel is pressing for me to do.

I am in the mood for BEEF so if anyone is reading this and is also interested in BEEF email or call me so we can go eat some BEEF. That is bovine btw nothing else....piggards

none of the stores that i have called have a crochet hook small enough to go through a seed bead, so there goes an idea i had. it was recommended that i go to super Joann's...too far to drive for a whimsical idea. but i will be able to pick one up on tuesday of next week since i will be near one.

Thursday

it is a bit early in the day for me to post but i need something to do to kill time at the office.
no interesting stories that i can post because nothing of interest happened today except that i woke up before the alarm stepped on a pile of cat yack that the dogs slept through....bad dogs!!

For secret santa at work i have tony. He had not put his wish list in the book but neither have i, so i can not complain about it. i am not even sure why i do secret santa it really is a pain in the butt and now i am getting pestered about doing the holiday meal. something i have never done because i am usually on my way to Boar's Head. but this year it is a lunch brought in and if i can time things right and be done before the food is in, i will not have to eat it or have them special order me something due to my food allergies.

I am planning on making Lemon Clove cookies for Miz T's launch party on Friday and bringing some tasty goat cheese and crackers. I had thought about making Meat cookies but I all ready have enough things that I am going to bring.

10 more minutes...ok i am leaving now ... can not fake it anymore...
